Aerodyne now offers on-site or off-site dust testing for customers. There are a variety of dust testing options that we offer in order for you to better understand and improve your dust collection process.
Dust Particle Size Distribution
Aerodyne offers particle size distribution testing on your dust. Submit a 5 gram sample of dust (minimum) and our test will show sizes ranging from 0.024 micron to 2800 micron.
*MSDS is required before testing.
GPC Removal Efficiency
Factory Testing- A factory test can be run on the GPC-18 (800 CFM). A dust sample will be measured for size distribution before and after the test. Removal efficiency results will be provided to you. Witnessing the test is available upon request.
Jobsite Testing- Aerodyne offers 2 different jobsite testing options.
1) A model GPC-08 (200 CFM) is available to be shipped to your location. This model is constructed out of carbon steel. No blower is available.
2) A model GPC-18 (800 CFM) is available to be shipped to your location with or without a fan and support steel.
Personnel for setup and testing are available at your location upon request.
SplitStream Removal Efficiency
Factory Testing- Aerodyne offers 2 different factory testing options.
1) A model S-400 (400 CFM) is available at the Aerodyne facility. This cyclone can be separated with clean air secondary, dirty air secondary, or recycle secondary configurations.
2) A model S-1000 (1000 CFM) is available at the Aerodyne facility. This cyclone can only be operated with clean air secondary.
A sample of your dust will be tested before and after it has been run through our cyclone for particulate size and removal efficiency. Operating conditions will be standard temperature and pressure. You have the option of being at the Aerodyne site for this test upon request.
Jobsite Testing- A S-400 (400 CFM) cyclone is available for field testing. This unit can be operated with clean air secondary, dirty air secondary, or recycle secondary configurations. Primary and secondary fans will be provided. Personnel for setup and testing are available upon request.
